Jacqui Sollars APGI

Jacqui Sollars APGI

Jacqui is based in Stroud, the heart of Gloucestershire which is within easy reach of Cirencester, Swindon, the North Cotswolds, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

She is passionate about her horses and dogs and has many years’ experience of owning and training a wide range of different dog breeds, including giant breeds. She shares her home with 12 dogs of her own, including 10 springer spaniels, some of whom are homebred, and two Leonbergers, which she works and shows.

Jacqui’s passion for training gundogs began when her father bought her first Springer Spaniel. Since then, she has grown her knowledge and skills and took this to another level by undertaking 18 months of intensive training as an APGI. Jacqui has proven that she has the skills and qualifications necessary to instruct others to train their dogs to a high standard.

Jacqui understands that all dogs are different, and there is significant variation between the different gun dog breeds, and they all learn at different paces. It is important to channel their natural instincts and provide the stimulus that they need to be happy and contented and for their owner to have a home in one piece!

Jacqui’s business, 'Every Little Thing Dog Training', specializes in training dogs for both home companionship and fieldwork. She advocates that training should be fun, structured and consistent. By focusing on small steps, and a positive approach, owners can build a strong foundation for more advanced skills. Jacqui will help you get the best out of your dog and help you understand your dog’s mind, including the psychology behind the training methods used so that you build a great relationship with them. She will help you become the leader your dog needs you to be.

Jacqui loves all dogs and is committed to helping you maximize your dog's potential and natural abilities. She will take you to whatever level of training you aspire to, whether it is to have a well-trained companion, or to work in the field, beating or picking up. Jacqui will take your dog from the level they are currently working at and help you solve any specific problems you may be facing. She provides puppy training, small group sessions, and 1:1 training, including practice in real-world settings to prepare you for various challenges. She can help you value what it means to be part of a great gun dog training community and guide you to success.
