Vic Robinson APGI

Growing up with an English Setter laid the foundation for Vic’s love for gundog breeds. Today she shares her life with a Working Cocker Spaniel, Labrador and German Wirehaired Pointer.

An eclectic mix of breeds that give her great insight into the versatility of gundogs. From her Shropshire home near the Welsh border, Vic can offer fantastic countryside facilities for training dogs of all ages and abilities.

Spending many years in corporate environments, coaching and developing sales teams has given Vic a desire to support people to be ‘the best that they can be’. An ideal background for her new venture as an Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor.

18 months of professional studying she now understands not only how to train her own dogs but also to instruct other dog owners how dogs learn, the importance of effective communication and providing a home environment where each dog can thrive and be a pleasure to live with, train and work.

For Vic, it is the intelligence, drive and energy of gundog breeds that makes them special but these traits can also make them challenging to live with, if that energy and behaviour isn’t directed in the right way.Having been lucky enough to be able to work her dogs and see them doing what come naturally, Vic’s desire to help people to channel that intelligence and energy into positive behaviour is key to her training and philosophy.

Vic’s approach to training is based on a solid foundation of knowledge of working breeds and how to get the best from them and their handlers, but like all good training, it is fun and should include plenty of laughs!

So, whether you simply want to share your home with a well-behaved pet or would like to train your dog to become a shooting companion, Vic offers both classes and one to ones for both puppies and adult dogs.
