Based in Buckinghamshire and with many years of training Neil, has gained a broad knowledge of training techniques and dogs. Completing the Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor course with Lez Graham has broadened his knowledge of anatomy, physiology, evolution of the dog, behaviour and instructing, helping to cement the foundations of his knowledge.

Neil shares his home with 3 labradors and a working cocker, and his own dogs have allowed him to have an in-depth understanding of the breeds as well as understanding what it is like to be the handler as well as the instructor. Working through his own training hurdles has allowed him to empathise with his clients and their pets.

Neil’s approach to training is fun based with a smile. He prides himself on being able to communicate with owners in order to help and motive them to achieve their expectations and full potential, regardless of whether that is a well-balanced pet or moving onto having a working gun dog or competing in field trials.

Embracing the Pet Gundog ethos enables him to guide his clients to have an understanding of the dogs breed and what it was bred to do, which in turn leads to how best to motivate the dog and gain success. The aim is to achieve a well-balanced pet, that you are proud to take anywhere and enjoy the company of. Therefore, the bond that is generated from the positive and kind approach to training will result in a relaxed pet at home that understands self-control, steadiness and good manners, is a pleasure to walk on a loose lead and sociable with both humans and other dogs.

The classes offered are structured and set in stages. This guides you through the different levels, which are certificated, from Beginner Pet Gundog, Novice Pet Gundog, Intermediate Pet Gundog, Advanced Pet Gundog and Working Pet Gundog.
