YAY Dog Training is based in Staffordshire and before embarking on her latest journey to become an Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor, Katie had already qualified as a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers.

Her years of experience in the corporate world of training and development give Katie a real solid foundation to instruct all levels of dog handlers from first time dog owners to more advanced people with years of dog ownership.

Katie’s real passion lies with gundog breeds and their intelligence. Inexperienced dog owners may sometimes struggle to turn their young gundog into a well-behaved and happy pet because they may not know how to stimulate and tire the dog’s brain which needs often more than simply just taking for a walk.

Pet Gundog Training is the perfect way to channel the vast amount of energy gundogs produce and will help to turn them into happy companions and family members. Katie will be able to assess the relationship you have with your dog and guide you in the right direction for your training no matter what level you would like to achieve with your dog.

Katie's approach to dog training is to make sure everyone is having fun! She has an infectious enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the dog. She is delighted to bring the full spectrum of Pet Gundog Training to Staffordshire. Whether you are a true novice, already have some experience, or are very experienced and perhaps already working your dog, Katie will instruct you with a balanced, positive and kind approach. She advocates respectful and empowered handling without being permissive or letting your dog reign supreme.
